Welcome to the UGANDA CAMONET DATA PORTAL. This guide will walk you through how to access and download data available on the platform.
Before accessing any features or datasets on the UGANDA CAMONET DATA PORTAL, you must first log in or register for an account. This ensures that only authorized users can access and interact with the data.
If you are a new user, registering will grant you basic access to the platform, where you can explore available datasets, submit requests for data access, and manage your account. Returning users can simply log in with their credentials to continue where they left off. Only authenticated users are allowed to request data or perform any administrative actions on the site.
To access data on our platform after logging in, follow these steps:
Once you request access to a dataset, the Principal Investigator (PI) responsible for the data will review your request. The PI will assess the validity of your request based on the information you provide.
If your request is approved, you will receive access to download the data in CSV format. An email notification will be sent to you once the data is available for download.
On this home page, you will find a variety of metrics and visualizations, including interactive graphs, charts, and choropleth maps that provide insights into the prevalence of AMR in different regions. These tools are designed to help you grasp the significance and implications of the data before diving deeper into specific datasets.
These visuals are designed to help you understand the scope and scale of the data before you request access.
To become an admin user, you must hold an admin role and have approved permissions to access a dataset. Once these conditions are met, you will have the ability to manage user requests for data access. This includes viewing requests under the “Requests“ tab in the Admin section, where you can approve or deny these requests based on the information provided by the requester.
Admin privileges are granted by a Data Custodian. If you wish to become an admin, you must reach out to a Data Custodian for approval. Once granted, you will have access to additional administrative functionalities, ensuring the secure and appropriate distribution of data within the platform.
